Eddystone, the new beacon format from Google is the hottest topic of discussion these days. While there is a lot of excitement around Eddystone, there is also a fair amount of confusion about how its introduction will affect businesses’ ongoing beacon projects.
Quite a few of our customers wrote to us with queries about Eddystone, how it is different from iBeacon and what will change in the beacon ecosystem as a result of this latest development.
We recently conducted a webinar on ‘Eddystone beacons: Everything you need to know’ to address any questions or concerns around Eddystone and its impact on customers’ ongoing beacon projects.
In the webinar, Ravi Pratap, CTO and Co-founder of MobStac, discussed the Eddystone format and how it differs from iBeacon. He was accompanied by Nagaraj Nagabushanam, Director – Product Management at MobStac who talked about various Eddystone use cases, and the product roadmap for Beaconstac’s support for Eddystone beacons.
In the end they discussed FAQs around Eddystone, that we had received from our customers. There were quite a few interesting questions from webinar attendees too, that Ravi and Nagaraj answered at the end of the webinar.
