The process of generating and creating multiple QR Codes in batches of 10s, 50s, 100s, or more is called bulk QR Code generation. This is done to save a lot of time and effort that otherwise would have taken in creating them individually and manually.
In the last couple of years, since we’ve launched the QR code generator & solution, we’ve seen over 50 million QR codes created.
You can use this feature in the dashboard to create up to 100 QR codes at a single time and download them instantly.
How? It’s simple, really!
On the dashboard, you will find ‘Bulk QR Codes’ on the left panel. Click on it and you’ll see this window open up.
Click on ‘Upload Now’. Choose the type of QR code you want to create. Let’s say you want to create Bulk vCard QR Codes. Click on ‘vCard’ and proceed.
Upload a CSV file or copy the online link and paste it in the dashboard. One CSV file can have up to 100 entries which will create 100 QR codes. If you need to create more QR codes, you can re-start the process after downloading the ZIP file.
Click on ‘Next’
You can change the color of the QR Code. Upload a logo or add one from the gallery. Remember, this customization will reflect on all the 100 QR codes you create.

For websites and apps that need to integrate the creation and updation of QR Codes as part of their process, our QR Code API is what you need.
This will require some help from a developer to integrate into your system but this will allow you to create all types of QR Codes easily.
This isn’t limited to static QR Codes. You can create, colorful dynamic QR Codes with the API.
Check out our QR Code API documentation for information.
The Zapier integration is not only helpful to create automated workflows but it can also help you create and update QR Codes.
Anything you can do with the QR Code API, you can replicate with the Zapier integration.
This doesn’t require the help of a developer and can be set up fairly easily.
STEP 1: Sign up for Zapier
Zapier offers a freemium plan that you can use.
STEP 2: Connect Beaconstac to your Zapier account
STEP 3: Create a new Zap
A Zap is a workflow. Think of it this way: When I do X, Y should happen. It’s that simple.
STEP 4: Connect to a Google Sheet
Instead of uploading a CSV file, you can directly connect it to a Google Sheet. Also, there’s no limit on how many QR Codes you can create at once.
STEP 5: Set the trigger – Create a new QR Code
You can set the trigger as ‘whenever there is a new row, create a new dynamic QR Code’.

It is crucial to identify the QR Code type you want to use for your business. Choosing the wrong QR Code type might not yield the same results you are expecting.
If you are planning to add QR Codes with product description on the labels, you will need a text QR Code. On the other hand, if you want to share business contacts with QR Codes, you can choose vCard QR Codes. Select the right type of QR Code you need for your use case and check if the considered QR Code generator provides the same.
Most online QR Code generators support basic customizations. However, not all of them replicate the same functionalities for bulk QR Code generation.
The ability to change the color of the QR is now basic. Some of the other customizations you should look out for are –
Choose a QR Code generator that gives you the flexibility to customize, such as selecting your required color and uploading your logo.
Unlike static (regular) QR Codes, you can edit and re-edit the link on dynamic QR Codes – even after printing them. The static QR Codes become redundant once you decide to change the information associated with them. Dynamic QR Codes help you avoid the necessity to track multiple batches of the same QR Code.
Using dynamic QR Codes help you save time and cost you may incur in replacing an entire batch of QR Codes in circulation.
Dynamic QR Codes help you solve problems static QR Codes can’t.
Most of the basic QR Code generators provide PNG and JPG formats for download. While these two formats may sound very familiar to you, these aren’t the most optimal print formats to download a QR Code, especially when you want to scale up or down the size of the QR Code.
In cases where you want to add a QR Code on a poster, billboard or sale sign, vector formats such as SVG or EPS, are always the most recommended format. Despite increasing or decreasing the size, a vector format never loses its pixel quality.
Look for a QR Code generator that provides the facility to download QR Codes in a designer-friendly format. This is what your design team working with design tools like Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, or Sketch 3 would ask most of the time.

Excessive customization leads to unscannable QR Codes. However, the odds of that happening reduces with a QR Code solution that supports error correction. QR Codes have 4 levels of error correction depending on the damage expected – Level L – up to 7% damage, Level M – up to 15% damage, Level Q – up to 25% damage, Level H – up to 30% damage.
Error correction is all the more significant when generating QR Codes in bulk. A single QR Code can be replaced easily but the same doesn’t hold true for bulk deployments.

Another important consideration should be the number of QR Codes you can create & download at once. Beaconstac allows you to create and download 100 QR Codes in a batch.

Events, conferences, and seminars: You can create unique vCard QR codes for event attendees or for conference-goers. The vCard QR code will allow attendees to network and exchange contact information seamlessly.
In-store display: For a chain store with multiple locations, you can easily create several QR codes leading to high-intent landing pages at once and direct the right traffic to them.
Cold call campaigns: Dozens of numbers are used in a cold call campaign. Instead of placing these numbers on the billboard, just use QR codes. When a user scans these, they will be able to automatically place a call.
Inventory management: It is easier to keep track of your inventory with QR codes. Generate printable QR code labels in PDF format. You can use them to display product information to simplify inventory management.
Adventure parks, zoos, treasure hunt: Inspired by the Hansel and Gretel story, use QR Codes at points of interest to make a trail leading up to the prize. You can also use them to display information in zoos and parks.
Local tourism: City guides and local maps are a thing of the past. Mark important city buildings and tourist spots with unique QR codes for tourists. Share important information to help them know your local history and monuments better.
Market research, customer feedback: Know your customers better. Share printed QR codes on flyers leading to a quick survey. The hassle-free experience only increases the likelihood of getting honest feedback.
ID verification: You have seen them, and you have used them. Add a serial code or random code on company ID cards for digital verification.
Prevent counterfeiting: Make it tougher to replicate your products. Add customized QR codes with your brand logo and colors on your product packaging. Add unique activation codes to these QR codes for the test of authenticity.
